TOEM
If you’ve ever thought “how can a game where you just take pictures be enjoyable” then let me tell you that I’ve bought this game TWICE. Yes twice and I’ve played though TOEM 3 times. New DLC was added recently as a thank you and appreciation for the community, adding up to a total of 7 areas for players to explore.
You start out in Grandmas house and she has an adventure opportunity for you, discovering the “phenomenon” of TOEM, but first she wants you to take a photo of her to get used to the controls, of course…heh. She asks you to talk to the bus station attendant who then tells you you need to collect stamps to earn a ride to the next area. Complete various tasks, collect your stamps and then your off to the next town and the real adventure begins!
The next 6 areas each have their own unique characters, setting, and stamps to earn. Some tasks are easy, some are hard, and some you can only complete with photos from other areas. Those may be tricky to figure out but I really enjoyed how it tied the world together rather than completing each zone and never going back.
Taking pictures for stamps isn’t the only reason to take out our camera. The world of TOEM is beautiful and silly. Snap a selfie with the residents, seen and…unseen, take pictures of the animals, or maybe you saw something you though would make a great photo and HAD to capture the moment. TOEM gives you a decent size storage for your photos but storage space isn’t unlimited so make sure to save space for your stamp tasks and album completion!
I would describe my TOEM experience as pure enjoyment and peace, it truly made me happy to play. I can only hope you the reader will pick up this game for yourself and get the same joy out of it that I did ♡
Enjoy
