ANNO: Mutationem
When I loaded ANNO up my first thought was HOLY WOW THIS GAME IS PRETTY, i couldn't get over the mixed 2.5 atmosphere and they way the lights reflected off the wet streets. I am a huge fan of cyberpunk/neon anything and let me just say the wait for this game was well worth it.
The story kept me hooked and the combat could never get boring! When you have a choice of 3 weapons (with variations) and chip augments to empower them however you like, how could one get bored? You can take your combat even further with the circular skill tree, up-gradable by defeating enemies and bosses.
The main story is gripping and woeful as you learn that our protagonist Ann is suffering from a virus that may be more than it seems. Her companion Ayane is adorable and full of life and love for Ann, really all the side characters and NPCs are great. The side quests are cute and fun and don't feel like they are pulling away from the main story (my personal favorite was uncovering the true identity of OK chan)
I have nothing but GOOD things to say about ANNO: Mutationem, while the M&K controls are a bit congested it didn't stop me from enjoying the game!
PROS: The art, the story, the characters all amazing. Combat is fast paced and fun
CONS: Jos van Corn and his corn buddies...may I never have to drink his corn man juice again...I shudder at the thought....
